      Testimonials

I joined DHSG in Year 7 and stayed for Sixth Form after having an incredible experience throughout lower school. Not only has DHSG been such a brilliant environment with such supportive staff, but it is also where I have made friends for life. It has offered me a vast number of opportunities particularly within leadership positions in Sixth Form by becoming House Captain of Saltram (the best house!), Student Executive, Student Librarian and Subject Tutor. I have thoroughly enjoyed all these roles, and I really value the skills and experiences they have given me. Extracurriculars such as DofE, Ten Tors, Dance Show, Carol Concert (to name but a few) are all amazing events offered here at DHSG that I have had fun taking part in with my friends. I have loved my time here at DHSG and would highly recommend it!

      Testimonials

Since arriving at Devonport High School for Girls in year 7, I have been offered the upmost support, guidance and encouragement. I know that exams are daunting, but throughout my GCSEs and A levels I have had an endless amount of care and attention, to strive, to achieve my best. Whilst academic achievement is important, DHSG has aided my extracurricular activities, such as my participation in the school production of Bugsy Malone and motivating me to compete in the National Swimming competition. Devonport High creates a truly comforting and safe space where one can develop their own personality and skill.

      Testimonials

I joined DHSG for sixth form after moving from another school in Plymouth. What attracted me to school was its amazing reputation and great pastoral care. During my time at sixth form I was able to get great leadership opportunities by becoming a house captain and it really made my time through year 12 great.

      Testimonials

After hearing numerous glowing stories about the academic excellence at Devonport High School for Girls, I was eager to experience the transition to a new school for sixth form. I couldn’t have been happier with the warm reception I received. Teachers here consistently go above and beyond, especially in guiding me through challenging A-level concepts, and their dedication to each student’s success is inspiring. Fellow students have been incredibly welcoming, helping me and others new to the school feel right at home. Choosing to study at DHSG has been my best academic decision yet, allowing me to truly reach my potential.

      Testimonials

As a student attending the school from year 7 all the way through to sixth form, I can proudly say I have thrived in our school, and they have nurtured my talents even through the harshness of COVID. The support that the school has provided has made me flourish and succeed in my studies as I now take on the role of House Captain and am taking 3 A-Levels, an EPQ and Core Maths, happily balancing my job, hobbies and school run events.
