A Level students have achieved outstanding results this year
We are thrilled to share the fantastic news that our A Level students have achieved outstanding results this year. An incredible 65% of all grades awarded were A*, A, or B, with over 15% of our students achieving straight A/A* grades across the board. This year’s results confirm that DHSG continues to be one of the country’s top mixed-sex state Sixth Forms, and the highest-performing in Plymouth and surrounding areas. We are proud of our record of securing top university places and employment opportunities for our students. This year, four students will be heading to Oxford and Cambridge, and many others will be joining Russell Group universities or entering the world of work. We would like to extend a special congratulations to our stand-out performers: Issy Adams, Ruth Bryce, Helia Eftekhari, Lily Entwhistle, Jahida Faruk, Katie Hambly, Grace Harrison, Isabelle Hutton, Ruby Jones, Niyara Limbu, Miao Lu, Lara Marshall-Roberts, Saphia Mkwawa, Imogen Rickard, Rose Sutton, and Martha Wilson. All of these exceptional students achieved all A* or A grades!
Assistant Head Teacher and Head of Sixth Form, Ed Lamb, said: “Once again, this year’s results show that we are truly blessed at DHSG to be working with such a cohort of talented and diligent students. They have engaged with all aspects of their studies in such an impressive way, and they will now go on to take their places in education or employment to lead in a range of fields. My thanks also go to their teachers, whose knowledge, expertise, and experience have helped to nurture them from day 1.”
Head Teacher, Lee Sargeant, added: “Many congratulations to students this year on their excellent results. I know they have worked tremendously hard over the past two years and deserve their successes today. That our leavers have achieved so much in their time here is a tribute to their hard work and dedication. My thanks also go to their teachers who taught and supported them on the journey to success.
We are so proud of every one of our students and wish them continued success in their future endeavours!
